Rectangles

The work consists of rectangular panels made of mirror material. Rectangular panels have the actual sizes of currency bills in the circulation of major centuries of the world. Panels take the form that extracts the minimum shape from all kinds of currency bills of major countries and is arranged according to the economic ranking of those countries. The audience can see the space and their face reflected in the mirror material as they approach the installation.

The work was made as a series of the previous work New Normal (2016). It started from the interest in the relationship between globalization, society, and capital. Globalization strengthens more and more the autonomy and power of capital, including free movement of capital across the world. The work narrates the research about this phenomena.
